Nonstop flights to Manila (MNL)
One-stop options to Manila
- Asian carriers connect many more US cities to Manila through their hubs: Japan Airlines and ANA via Tokyo, Korean Air via Seoul, EVA Air, China Airlines and Starlux via Taipei, Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong, and Singapore Airlines via Singapore. Each of these flies its hub to Manila; check the airline for which US cities it serves. Wikipedia: NAIA airlines and destinations
- Middle East carriers (Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad, Turkish Airlines) fly Manila from their hubs, which can suit East Coast travelers. Wikipedia: NAIA airlines and destinations
- A Tokyo connection can become a stopover of a few days. See our Japan stopover guide.
- From Canada-adjacent cities: Air Canada and Philippine Airlines fly Vancouver–Manila, and Philippine Airlines flies Toronto–Manila. Wikipedia: NAIA airlines and destinations
Flying from Columbus (CMH) and the Midwest
- Columbus has no nonstop flights to Asia, so plan on at least one connection, and usually two.
- Via a US gateway: fly CMH to Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle or New York and connect to a Philippine Airlines or United nonstop. Booking on one ticket protects you if the first flight is late. Google Flights CMH–MNL · Aviasales CMH–MNL
- Chicago O'Hare: with Philippine Airlines resuming ORD–Manila (Nov 9, 2026), O'Hare is the closest nonstop gateway for much of the Midwest, including Columbus, Indianapolis, Detroit and Milwaukee travelers.
- Via Asian hubs: connect at a US gateway to an Asian airline (Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei) and then on to Manila.
- Other Midwest searches: Detroit (DTW) · Minneapolis (MSP) · Indianapolis (IND) · Cincinnati (CVG) · St. Louis (STL)
- If you buy separate tickets to reach a gateway, leave a long buffer (or an overnight); a missed connection on a separate ticket is your problem, not the airline's.
Tips for finding cheaper fares
- Use the date grid and price graph in Google Flights to compare departure dates, and turn on price tracking to get email alerts.
- Compare nearby gateways: a positioning flight to LAX, SFO or JFK can open up nonstop options.
- Check both Manila and Cebu. If your trip is in the Visayas (Bohol, Siargao, Boracay), flying into Cebu can save a domestic flight.
- Try a multi-city search through Tokyo or Seoul for a stopover.
- Search Aviasales as well as Google Flights, then book on the airline's own site where you can.
